This is only the 4th coon I have ever put up so if you have any hints I am listening... I have a necker fleshing knife but I was having problems trying to use it so I used my beaver knife to shave the top and then switched over to my fleshing knife I got for cheap from FnT.. It seamed to be nicer to use for me.. not sure if it is due to my beam being shaped better for it or the knife being wider.. any ideas and input would be awesome Thanks

It is going to take time a practice. Every one has there way of doing it that is best for them. In time you will find what is the best way for you. I have like 4 different fleshing systems and still play around with them. Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks good. Dave

Ya I will take a few more pic with the good camera when I get home from school this evening .. As for the fleshing system it is a pain in the arse lol I am thinking I need to sand my beam down a little cause I cut into it a couple of times last night with my knife..

With the necker600 or the beaver knife? What does your beam set up look like? I have like 7 different fleshing beams so far and still need more. Thanks Dave Attachments:

wipe down with paper towel every day to get extra grease off, hang with nose down. Fat pockets will show up within the first 2 days of drying to show you where you missed spots. How does the flank fur look? The long bright white hair on the flanks with thick under fur is wher the money is. Hard to tell if you made the MONEY CUT. Dave

Last year the coons that were gray went for more money then the fully prime ones. It all depends on the fur in the flanks. Dave
