Got to love the tools made today. My grandfather was a blacksmith/ welder all his life and I still use some of his old power tools when I make it back to see the family. Today's stuff is all junk, don't matter if it's top name brand or Harbor freight stuff. In the winter I work for a state park as matanance hand working on trucks, tractors, snowmobiles and what ever else they have and go through tools like nothing else so I know your pain.

jmack, I think you are right. The expensive ones do not last any longer then the cheap throw away models now. This was a Milwaukee grinder that was $140 and the $49 Black & Decker is still going. Dave
